REPAIR OUR ROADS
When we don't maintain our roads, it costs the city, taxpayers and residents more money. As a civil engineer, Matt understands the total cost of deferred maintenance and will continue to ensure our roads and critical infrastructure remain a top priority.
BOOST OUR ECONOMY
Investing in economic opportunities is instrumental in helping our existing businesses while attracting commerce, new residents and experience-seeking tourists alike. Matt will continue to work hard to foster Auburn's economic vitality. While serving as mayor, the city brought back its long time city manager and hired a full time economic development director, both of which provide Auburn with the experience and stability our community needs.
KEEP PUBLIC SAFETY A TOP PRIORITY
Auburn's proximity to the canyon, steep terrain and wildland brush poses a continuous fire threat. Plus, law enforcement changes such as AB 109 and Prop. 47 are impacting the city's ability to keep the community safe. Maintaining public safety personnel and working alongside them to minimize our fire risk and keep our streets safe is a top priority.
